What inspired the idea for Black Earth Grills?

I was sitting at my kitchen table one evening, flipping through TV channels, when I saw a commercial for a new cooking product. It was a grill that could be used indoors, on any surface. I was intrigued.

I thought about how much I enjoy grilling outdoors. I love the smell of the charcoal, the sound of the sizzle, and the taste of the food. But I don’t always have the time to fire up the grill and cook a meal. And when the weather is bad, grilling is out of the question.

I began to think about how an indoor grill could be a game changer. With an indoor grill, I could cook a delicious, healthy meal anytime I wanted, regardless of the weather. And so, the idea for Black Earth Grills was born.
